The new Defender lets you embrace the impossible, pushing the boundaries of SUV capability. To highlight performance and luxury, Land Rover Huntington is here to compare the 2024 Defender with the competition.

2024 Defender vs. 2024 Ford Bronco

While the Ford Bronco has more total engine options than the Defender (four to three), the latter model boasts over 100 more horsepower (518 hp versus 400 hp). The Defender also has a more versatile interior, seating anywhere between five to eight passengers across different models, compared to the Bronco's maximum seating capacity of five.

The Defender also reigns supreme in capability, boasting up to 8,201 pounds of maximum towing capacity and 1,984 pounds of maximum payload capacity. The Bronco can tow up to 4,500 pounds and features a payload capacity of up to 1,370 pounds.

Defender vs. Bronco Engine Output

The Bronco has the upper hand in horsepower for four-cylinder, base model engines (290 hp versus 300 hp), though the V6 engines are a different story. The Defender achieves up to 395 horsepower in the available V6 engine, while the Bronco outputs 330 or 440 horsepower, depending on which engine you choose.

The aforementioned maximum horsepower of the Defender comes from the available V8 engine, an option that the Bronco does not feature at all. From more power to more seating, if needed, the Defender is sure to be a great choice for Huntington area drivers.

More on the 2024 Defender vs. 2024 Bronco

When shopping for a new vehicle, every little advantage counts. The Defender offers a better warranty and roadside assistance (four years/50,000 miles) compared to the Bronco (three years/36,000). While both SUVs offer cameras to enhance visibility, the Defender is superior due to the larger windshield, taller side glass, and higher seating position.

The Defender's optional air suspension makes for a more comfortable ride over the Bronco, with the former also providing optional rear climate control. Because the Bronco lacks vents in the rear center console, the Defender supplies a more comfortable overall experience.
